The San Antonio Regional Wine Guild (SARWG) is a community of wine lovers and amateur winemakers. We have monthly meetings, potluck-style, where we enjoy good food, good wine, and one another, while discussing and learning about wine and winemaking. Meetings are typically on the third Sunday of every month (with some exceptions). They often include an activity or educational theme, but some are purely social. All feature good wine and good times.

SARWG holds amateur winemaking competitions at least once each year, typically in the spring. All Guild members are eligible to compete, and anyone may compete by joining the guild.

SARWG was founded on May 16th, 1976, at the Old Standby Saloon in Castroville, Texas. Charlie Suehs had the honor to be elected SARWG’s first President, Robert (Bob) Jorrie the first Vice President, and Dorothy Alatorre the first Secretary-Treasurer. They paved the way for us, and we are grateful.
